Daemonar, like always, took things in strides - long strides. His swaggering confidence, proud stature, and warrior trained body was the pinnacle of Eyrien male perfection. Every ounce the Warlord Prince he was born to be, Daemonar Yaslana was going to use every inch of that hunter's prowess to get what he wanted. As well as putting to use the Sapphire and Ebon-gray jewels the Darkness had deemed him worthy of wearing. A thorn in everyone's side since infancy, Daemonar wasn't about to stop now.
Striding past the guards who opened doors for him, pushing himself through the long halls of Dhemlan's court, and not even bothering to knock upon the office door belonging to the Steward. The Black jeweled Warlord Prince already knew he was coming. Meeting the man's hard, gold eyes without fear or flinching, Daemonar stood firmly before him and gave him a terse greeting. "Uncle Daemon."

Daemon felt his nephew's approach mainly because it was much like his father's, they were both head strong men who were willing to fight. Lately though life had started to get to him and now this. His own daughter couldn't stand the life she had grown up with and had told them she was leaving and then just left. When he had approached Jaenelle about what to do she had become very much Witch and explained that she knew the need to be away from a life that she didn't want. She told him to let her live life, even if they couldn't really stand to let her go.
When the door opened and Daemonar, his namesake walked in he knew this wouldn't be the last person from the realms demanding explanation for what had happened. Their little Queen Asteria had left them. Knowing her cleverness she had probably changed her name and for the time being was masking herself from all those who couldn't recognize her. One of the family would know her scent but the rest of the realms wouldn't. He turned with a hard look in his face and sighed, "Daemonar." He turned so his golden eyes could fall upon the Eyrien nephew of his.
"I had to let her. I couldn't make her stay Daemonar and..." He stopped for a moment his breath catching lightly in his throat, "Your aunt Jaenelle told me to let her." He said as he ran his hands furiously through his hair. "She told me to let her live, but I can't stand her being so far away."

Daemonar's blood hit boiling point. As though it weren't enough to have seen his own mother cry, but to see his uncle's usually cold mask turn into such raw emotion.
Folding his muscled arms over his chest, creasing his dark blue tunic, Daemonar forced his face remained neutral. "So you just let her walk out of here without so much as a bodyguard. Mother Night, uncle, you've become soft in your old age. Soft and clumsy."
It was an insult, tried and true. A blast to the man's ego that would snap the Warlord Prince of Dhemlan back into his place. And aside from his father, Daemonar was the only one who could push Daemon's buttons without being turned into paint on the wall.

Daemon snarled, "You think I didn't try to send her off with a body guard who was human? Asteria is a very head strong woman and wouldn't allow for it. She did though take one of the kindred, KaeAskavi." He sighed, "At the least she has nine hundred pounds of fur with her." He ran his had furiously again through his hair before turning to Daemonar. "She said she would hate me if I came after her namesake. My own child, my only child."

Daemonar swore viciously, finally releasing whatever hold he had on courtly manners. "And they say I'm a pain in the ass."
He gripped his fists tightly to keep from lashing out and destroying something. "And I suppose you have no idea where she's gone, or even which realm she's still in. Am I right?"

Daemon snarled and stood up from his seat, "Watch your tongue namesake. She told me she was hoping to stop first in a place from her mother's past. That is all she said before she left." He sighed and sat back down, "There are so many, but which place from Jaenelle's past?"

He lowered his gaze so he could glare through half-lids, his golden eyes hard with rage. "You're going to tell me you contacted all of Lady Jaenelle's old friends already, and save me that headache, right?"

Daemon nodded, "Yes and they have not seen her anywhere in their lands in Kaeleer," He grimaced, "So where did she go? Where else could she have gone here in Kaeleer, unless..." He looked up with a frightened look in his eyes, "From the past Daemonar she has gone to Chaillot, Jaenelle's birth place." He froze for a moment and growled, "Why Asteria, why."

Daemonar didn't hear a word after Chaillot. Turning on the heel of his foot, he launched himself at a dead run out of Dhemlan's Hall. He launched himself skyward and took flight for the nearest landing. Catching the Ebon-gray Winds, he snarled. *If anything has happened to her, you will be to blame.*
Hatred or not, she would have at least have been safe in Dhemlan. But Chaillot? There were still people looking for revenge after what Jaenelle did, and if they found out about his dear cousin... Clenching his fists tighter, Daemonar made record time for Beldon Mor. *You'd better be there when I arrive, cousin.*

Syria felt it, Asteria as she had been known before she had taken the chance to leave. There was only one person in her family her age who would create such a stir in the winds with his own emotions. Daemonar. She said to herself, a bit of a snarl. He was coming to drag her back to Kaeleer where she would be chained to the Keep for the rest of her life, to never be aloud out again. She wasn't going to have that happened.
She quickly made her way to the Angeline residence and slipped past to the garden her mother had told her about. The witchblood still there, still blooming. She lightly touched the petals and felt the feelings of the past, the girls stripped of who they were. She sighed it was painful and to think it wasn't too long ago that her mother had cleansed the realms of the tainted blood. She could still feel it now, those who were tainted but broken back to basic craft, they bore a hate against her mother and if they knew who she was, even herself. She sighed it was painful.
Rising from the where the flowers were she mader her way towards the wind, she needed to think about moving again. Turning to KaeAskavi she lightly ran her fingers through the white fur. *Let's get moving before dear old cousin finds us.*

He was too late when he arrived at the Angeline residence. He'd picked up her psychic scent he moment he arrived in Beldon Mor. Cursing and swearing viciously, he rubbed his temples and forced himself to take deeper breaths. This was getting him no where real fast. He stalked the gardens until he was standing in the exact place she'd lingered the longest. A patch of witchblood lay at his feet, looking up at him as though still rotting in pain.
What was she thinking of when she came here? Was she in some sort of trouble that she would turn to those whose blood was spilled in violence for solace? As Daemonar turned from the patch of blood-poisoned plants and saw the large paw prints of what could only have been KaeAskavi.
Where are you running to, dear cousin? What are you running from? Leaving the Angeline estates, he caught the Winds and followed the fresh trail of his own bloodline.

Syria road the Black Winds quickly to Hayll. She wanted to see the place she had only heard stories about, wanted to see the place that so many people had called hell. Family members of hers who had suffered the darkest of taint here in this very city. She looked about the somewhat dead city, she could sense very little power but still, it was here. She looked over the destroyed buildings and found herself staring up at the Keep that had once housed the evilest person to have walked the earth. She sighed to herself and ran her fingers along the stone walls.
KaeAskavi gave a slight growl and she turned to see who it was he had seen. She felt it, her cousin again was coming this way. But he wasn't who KaeAskavi had growled at, it was a woman standing before her. Her Summer Sky jewel hanging from her neck.
"Who are you to walk these streets as if you've never known these lands." She said with a tired voice. Syria watched, carefully assessing the situation before speaking up. "I am Syria and I have been gone from my homelands for a long time." She answered, that would at least be enough for now.

Hayll. Draega to be more precise. But when it came to calling something vile, what did the particulars matter?
Daemonar dropped from the Winds and his hands instantly balled into fists. Puffing up to his still-growing height, he called in his Ebon-gray jewels and wore them openly around his throat. He sniffed at the air, probed the half-dead city with care he wasn't used to. His cousin was a fast traveler with the darkness of her jewels, but she was still an outsider when it came to surviving the realms. And if there was one thing Daemonar knew best, it was how to survive, how to hunt.
He didn't bother with trying to find his cousin any more. No, the concentration was simply too draining. Instead, he focused and picked out KaeAskavi's unique feline scent. How many Arcerian Warcats would there actually be in Hayll, after all...

Syria felt the presence of her cousin and nodded to the woman. "I am sorry but I must leave." She was about to leave when the woman spoke up again, her voice still holding the tired tone, "You are a Black Widow aren't you? Please my child is...teetering on the edge of the Twisted Kingdom." Syria turned, holding the gaze of the woman and then turned to KaAskavi. "Come on Kae let's see what we can do." She followed the woman to one of the houses that was falling down and walked inside. There in the living room was a small girl, barely any older than six. Syria leaned down and lightly ran her hand over the girl's forehead, descending to the black before searching the girl's inner barriers to try and help.

A hunter true, Daemonar found her the instant she unleashed the Black. Having followed KaeAskavi's scent this far, he was almost thankful for his cousin's recklessness. Stalking into the house without a knock, he caught his tongue between his teeth before his harsh words tear her a new hide.
Bent over the little girl, his cousin seemed utterly determined to help. Cursed if he got in the way of a Black Widow attempting to work, Daemonar crossed his arms over his chest and leaned against door frame he barely fit in, and watched her work.
